Dr.
Holt began his professional career in academic medicine, completing a
rigorous five year NIH predoctoral fellowship in anatomy at the LSU
School of Medicine in New Orleans. As a research scientist and
professor, he conducted for nearly ten years a productive basic
sciences laboratory funded through competitive grants. Dr. Holt
published numerous articles and abstracts in scientific journals,
mentored several graduate students, and taught hundreds of medical
students and residents during their training period. He received many
awards for outstanding teaching and was also honored as "The
Outstanding Resident" during his own training as a resident. Dr.
Holt has served on numerous committees at White-Wilson Medical Center
which include chairing the QA and Recruiting Committees. He has also
served as president of the Okaloosa County Medical Society, Chief of
Staff at Ft. Walton Beach Medical Center, and on the Board of Trustees
of Ft. Walton Beach Medical Center. He currently is a member of the
Board of Directors of White-Wilson Medical Center.
