Certified Diabetic Education Program
White-Wilson’s Department of Diabetes offers a Diabetes Self-
Management Education Program that has been nationally recognized by the American Diabetes Association. The classes are designed to provide knowledge and self-care skills to those who have diabetes,
as well as those who are at risk of developing the disease. This program is a two-part class held over a two-week period for 2 ½ hours each class. Classes are available during the day or in the evening.

Susan Ott,
ARNP, is a Certified Diabetic Educator with the American Diabetes Association.
She teaches the program to hundreds of patients every year, in
conjunction with our Licensed Dietitian, Nancy King, PhD, RD and
under the general supervision of Thomas Holt, M.D., PhD.
Most insurance companies will cover the cost
of this program for Diabetic or pre-diabetic patients.
