White-Wilson Medical Center is the only one in the area to offer  the Bone Anchored Hearing Aid (Baha). Baha uses the body’s natural ability to conduct sound via bone. Baha (for mixed hearing loss or single sided deafness) is implanted directly into the mastoid bone bypassing any middle ear space issues and stimulating hearing via bone conduction.
You May Be a Good Candidate for the Baha System (for mixed hearing loss or single sided deafness) if you Experience any of the Following:
  • Trouble getting sufficient loudness with hearing aids
  • Battle feedback or distorted sound quality
  • Draining ears
  • Malformed ears or ear canals
  • Suffer from soreness caused by large ear molds
