FORT WALTON BEACH, Florida –
June 8, 2015— The White-Wilson Community Foundation (WWCF) hosted the 6th annual Little Black Dress Party on Saturday, May 16. Over 350 guests filled the Sandestin Linkside Exhibition Hall for "A Night Under the Big Top," raising an impressive $75,000 for local women's health programs.
Guests enjoyed dinner, dancing and live and silent auctions. They were mesmerized by circus performances from Aerial Events, Cirque Lil' Dixie and stilt dancer Zayd Saleem. Those in attendance were also given a chance to try their luck at one of several carnival games. Honorary Chairs, Mike and Yvonne Freeman welcomed guests and served as hosts for the evening.
"We are honored to be a part of this special night," said Yvonne Freeman. "Our family has been impacted by breast cancer, and we want to support others in our community being effected."
All event proceeds benefit the White-Wilson Community Foundation's women's health initiative. Through the success of last year's event, WWCF was able to help double the number of under-served women receiving breast cancer screenings and treatment in Okaloosa County, as well as award an additional $25,000 in local health grants. WWCF hopes to have an even greater impact through proceeds from this year's event.
"The White-Wilson Community Foundation knows that there are many women in our community who are not receiving adequate health care," said WWCF President, Dr. Jack Azzaretto. "Through this event, we hope to have a direct impact on the lives of women in our community and help them to receive the care they need."
The White-Wilson Community Foundation is non-profit organizations serving Okaloosa, Santa Rosa and Walton Counties. The mission of the foundation is to make the community the healthiest on Earth. Through its grant program, WWCF work to create community partnerships that impact community health.
