Mila Polishchuk, APRN, is a family nurse practitioner providing adult primary care at White-Wilson Adult Medicine in Destin. APRN Polishchuk has more than 11 years of clinical experience spanning emergency care, behavioral health, acute care, and functional medicine.
APRN Polishchuk chose to become a nurse practitioner because she wanted a career where she could make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. She values the personal side of medicine and believes that listening to patients, getting to know them, and making sure they feel heard are essential parts of providing quality care. For APRN Polishchuk, one of the most rewarding aspects of her work is seeing patients return feeling better and knowing she played a role in improving their health and quality of life.
Her interest in family medicine stems from a belief in caring for the whole person rather than focusing solely on individual symptoms. She takes a comprehensive approach to health, considering factors such as nutrition, lifestyle and prevention while working to better understand the underlying causes of a patient’s health concerns. Her professional experience also includes advanced training in functional medicine and hormonal therapy.
APRN Polishchuk’s approach to patient care is rooted in active listening and provider-patient partnership. She takes time to understand each patient’s unique background, lifestyle and health goals, and uses this information to develop personalized, practical care plans. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her three sons, traveling, going to the gym and participating in outdoor activities. She is also an avid student of history, with a particular interest in Turkish history and culture.
