Hospital medicine is a specialty of medicine where the primary focus is the general care of the hospitalized patient. Unlike medical specialists in the emergency department or critical care units, hospitalists manage patients throughout the continuum of their hospital stay.
White-Wilson hospitalists provide guidance from the moment a patient requires admission and follow them, as necessary, throughout their hospital stay, to include the critical and intensive care units, as well as organizing post-acute care.
