FORT WALTON BEACH, Florida–January 2, 2019—There is no doubt that the health care industry is rapidly changing. Community based and physician owned practices are dwindling throughout the country, but Fort Walton Beach's White-Wilson Medical Center celebrated a successful year.
"Even though we have faced some challenges, 2018 was a great year for us," said White-Wilson CEO Alan Gieseman. "This year, we have welcomed dozens of new employees and 12 health care providers to our team. I am happy to say that even after 72 years, we continue to honor our commitment to this community and to meet its health care needs."
In 2018, White-Wilson also earned accolades such as Best Medical Practice in Destin, Finest Medical Practice and Best Medical Practice on the Emerald Coast. However, less measurable accomplishments are at the forefront of what White-Wilson celebrates.
"What we are most proud of is the countless times our team has impacted a patient's life. The numerous times we have helped solve a complex medical issue, diagnosed and treated cancer or delivered a baby, those are the successes that we value the most," said Gieseman.
As they enter 2019, White-Wilson Medical Center will continue its commitment to serving the community by providing quality care to all who visit their clinics. They are excited about the year to come and will bring new physicians and technology to their clinics in Destin, Fort Walton Beach, Navarre and Niceville.
